New acquisitions

The Group's expansion plan continues. Four business units are now managed by FaroAlto: three historic coffee and pastry shops in Bologna, Milan, and Florence, and a production laboratory in the Bologna area.

FaroAlto has been awarded the management of four business units belonging to historic Italian pastry and coffee shop brands: three coffee and pastry shops in Bologna, Milan, and Florence, and a production laboratory in Castel Maggiore, just outside Bologna. The operational phase will begin as soon as all legal formalities are completed, but not before the end of June.

The managed units are the Caffè Pasticceria Gamberini 1907 in Via Ugo Bassi, Bologna, Taveggia 1909 in Via Visconti di Modrone, Milan, the Caffè Pasticceria Gamberini – Curtatone in Via Curtatone, Florence, and the production laboratory in Via Andrea Costa, Castel Maggiore (BO).

These four businesses have played a significant role in the history of Italian pastry and coffee making. Caffè Pasticceria Gamberini 1907, founded in Bologna in 1907 and recognized as a Historic Italian Establishment since 2006, has been a city landmark for over a century, featuring period furnishings, a historic counter, and a sourdough tradition passed down through generations. Taveggia 1909 is one of Milan's most beloved historic establishments. Caffè Pasticceria Gamberini – Curtatone is located in Florence's Borgo Ognissanti district, within prestigious spaces in the historic center. The Castel Maggiore laboratory specializes in large sourdough leavened products — panettone, colombe, veneziane — and daily produces fresh pastries for the shops.

"The management of these businesses aligns with our development vision," states Andrea Ristori, CEO of FaroAlto. "These are brands consistent with our DNA: established venues in prime locations along a route — Milan, Bologna, Florence, Siena — which is also logistically interesting, and a production laboratory with high-level technological features, particularly in the large leavened products segment. We are satisfied, also because retail is always conducive to the sale of our Made in Italy production. The integration of these businesses will allow FaroAlto to complete its retail offering and strengthen its industrial platform."

The three managed establishments will provide new visibility for the group's products in highly prestigious display windows. The specialized and state-of-the-art production laboratory will enable better production of large leavened products — panettone first and foremost — and will complete the production range both within and outside the group.
